Improv Anxiety: How to Work With Your Nerves

$40.00

Everyone experiences occasional anxiety while improvising. But sometimes it can overwhelm you, take you out of the moment, and make it difficult to have fun on stage. In this one-day workshop we will learn about the function of anxiety and ways to manage it from Clinical Psychologist Dr. Amanda Cassil. We will then put that knowledge to use with targeted improv exercises from Improv Teacher Ben Cassil.

Pre-reqs: Some improv experience required

Workshop: Sunday, March 9, 1:00-3:30 pm, Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop (905 Cole Ave, 90038)

Dr. Amanda Cassil (she/her) is a Clinical Psychologist and the founder of STEM Psychological Services in Pasadena. She is the author of The Empowered Highly Sensitive Person and The Self-Care Plan for the Highly Sensitive Person.

Ben Cassil (he/him) is an improv instructor, coach, and comedian. He has been improvising for 11 years, with training from WE Improv and UCB, and performs weekly with the WE house team Cosmo.
