This class will build on skills you’ve learned in previous WE classes, specifically focusing on using your character’s point of view to enhance and explore your scenes. Each week we will use exercises and scene work to better understand where your character is coming from and how they would react in the world you have built. The goal is to use POV to make scene work easier and less “in your head”. Once your character is established, moves come naturally and surprisingly!
Pre-req: At least one previous WE class. Proof of vax.

Wayland has been with UCB since 2007 and has performed on Harold Night since 2009. He has done countless improv shows. He began coaching in 2010 and has coached countless teams. Drawing from UCB, but also teachers such as Rich Talarico and Craig Cackowksi, he has developed his POV based approach to improv over the years.
